class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Da Ford pr\u00e6senterede sin nye 12M\/15M modelserie, var det begyndelsen til enden p\u00e5 en n\u00e6sten 20-\u00e5rig tradition. Modellen som afl\u00f8ste P4-modellen skulle blive den sidste &#8220;lille&#8221; Taunus med betegnelsen &#8220;M&#8221;. Efter et \u00e5rs produktion, lod Ford ogs\u00e5 navnet &#8220;Taunus&#8221; udg\u00e5 p\u00e5 P6&#8217;eren. Modellerne blev herefter alene betegnet som Ford 12M og Ford 15M.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ford valgte at &#8220;opdele&#8221; den tidligere 12M i 12M og 15M. \u00c5rsagen hertil var det utal af motoralternativer, som var tilg\u00e6ngelige og delingen gav en betegnelse p\u00e5 bilerne i forhold til motorst\u00f8rrelsen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kun kosmetiske detaljer adskilte de to modeller udvendigt. Indvendigt skilte de sig heller ikke meget ud fra hinanden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ford havde foretaget en del tekniske forbedringer fra P4-modellen. Mest v\u00e6sentligt var, at bilen fik tandstangs-styring og McPherson forhjulsoph\u00e6ng.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Et st\u00f8rre karosseri gav bedre indvendig plads og selvom modellen gennemgik en del interi\u00f8rm\u00e6ssige forandringer gennem sit 4-\u00e5rige liv, forblev karosseriet stort set uforandret.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fra september 1967 indf\u00f8rtes 12V el-anl\u00e6g og \u00e5ret efter blev 3-punkts sikkerhedsseler til forstolene standard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I god Ford-tradition blev modellen tilbudt k\u00f8berne i et utal af farvekombinationer og motorer.
