class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Taunus 15M blev leveret med 3-trins gearkasse og kunne mod en beskeden merpris ogs\u00e5 f\u00e5s med 4-trins gearkasse, begge med usynkroniseret 1. gear. F\u00f8rst fra september 1957 blev bilen leveret med en fuldsynkroniseret gearkasse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Motoren er topventileret og forsynet med 3 hovedlejer. Den er p\u00e5 1500 ccm og yder 55 psi ved 4250 omdrejninger\/min. Dette kan bringe den 895 kg tunge vogn op p\u00e5 den vanvittige hastighed af 125 km\/t. Benzinforbruget er opgivet til 12 km\/liter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pedalerne er toph\u00e6ngslet, men i 1956 blev speederpedalen forbedret og \u00e6ndret til det princip man kender som &#8220;orgelpedal&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bilen er baghjulstrukket med stiv bagaksel. Affjedringssystemet best\u00e5r af halvelliptiske langsg\u00e5ende bladfjedre bag, skruefjedre for og kombineret med 4 dobbeltvirkende hydrauliske teleskopst\u00f8dd\u00e6mpere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der er 4 tromlebremser uden vacuum-forst\u00e6rkning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Styret\u00f8jet er med styrehus af typen &#8220;snekke og rulle&#8221;, styrebolte og skr\u00e5tstillede korte og lange svingarme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Taunus 15M blev lavet som 2-d\u00f8rs personvogn, van, kombi, pick-up og cabriolet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I alt blev der fra 1955 til 1959 produceret ca. 125.000 biler.
